One dedicated Hello Kitty fan has opted to get the logo inked into her lower lip in a increasingly popular body art trend.
Most inner lip tattoos are a line of plain text, in part simply due to the lack of space for larger designs.

But inner lip tattoos aren’t all fun and games. Although discreet, some websites warn that due to the number of nerves in the mouth, having any inking inside the mouth is considerably more painful than other tattoos.
Some tattoo fans, however, report not feeling any pain at all.
More problematic is the short life span of inner lip tattoos, with most lasting just five years, although some reportedly last less than a few months.

‘Inner lip tattoos have always been a bit of fun, as you can choose when and where to show it,’ comments veteran tattoo artist and owner of Monsters of Art, Dan Gold.
‘No one will ever see it unless you want them too but just bear in mind that most lip tattoos will start to fade a month or two later and will disappear completely within in a year or two.’
He adds: ‘They are no more painful then any other tattoo, as all tattoos hurt.
‘However, they are quite difficult to do so like any tattoo, it should only be done by a professional licensed tattoo studio, and never ever done by your mates in their house as this isn’t safe and could have a disastrous outcome.’
